A cooler way to enjoy your hot tea

Enjoy a cooler way to drink tea with Ceylon Cinnamon and black tea. Learn how to make a smooth, refreshing cold-brew tea with authentic Sri Lankan cinnamon.

Did you know that black tea and cinnamon have long been perfect companions? But instead of reaching for a steaming mug, why not try them together over ice?

Cold-brew black tea with a touch of True Ceylon Cinnamon creates a refreshing cup, offering a live, smooth and gently spiced liquor. It is an easy way to give a classic tea brew a little summer twist.

Why is Ceylon Cinnamon true Cinnamon?

Not all cinnamon is quite the same.

True Ceylon Cinnamon, Cinnamomum verum, is native to Sri Lanka and is naturally delicate, fragrant and subtly sweet. It also contains far less coumarin than Cassia cinnamon, which is one reason the two should not simply be treated as interchangeable.

Tea adds a different touch

Black tea naturally contains polyphenols, and the way tea is brewed can influence which compounds are extracted into the cup. Cold brewing takes its time and produces a smoother, less bitter drink, perfect when you want your tea chilled and refreshing rather than brisk and intense.

A pairing that is a must-try

Place your black tea in cold water and let it slowly infuse in the refrigerator. Add a small piece of Ceylon Cinnamon towards the end, allowing its warm, naturally sweet character to gently come through. Pour over ice. Add a slice of orange if you like.

This simple recipe is well worth a try. Cold, refreshing and 100% Ceylon.
